Following the two established models of the 400 series, two additional formats in the 200 series have been in production since summer 2025: EPT 769 for pots sized 9–10.5 cm and EPT 768 for pots sized 10.5–13 cm. Both formats are manufactured in Ebensee, Austria, by Polytec. With this third production partner, EPT ensures market independence and consistent availability across all models.

Development is currently underway on the EPT 779, designed to complete the range for the largest user group. The EPT 779 tray, part of the 400 series, securely transports pots sized 9–10.5 cm—from growers to wholesalers and on through distribution networks to retail.

EPT’s reusable solution guarantees at least 100 circulation cycles per tray and is equipped with RFID, 2D data matrix, and barcode technology. This combination makes the EPT product family unique in the market and fully future-ready, enabling effortless integration with all standard return logistics and asset management systems.

“We are especially pleased to congratulate our technology partner Inotec,” said Rupert Fey, Board Member of EPT. “The labelling solution developed for EPT recently received the Excellence in Reusable Packaging Award 2025. This recognition highlights the innovative and sustainable nature of our trays and the outstanding collaboration with our production partners.”

Dirk Bansemer, Managing Director of EPT GmbH, added: “The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is approaching, and the transition periods will end in 2029. We’re seeing increased awareness in the market and rising demand for our solutions. The shift from single-use to reusable systems doesn’t happen overnight. Our EPT team supports partners with hands-on experience for a smooth start. It’s crucial to act now—define needs, reserve production slots, and build practical knowledge early to avoid missteps later. Regardless of regulation, using EPT trays significantly reduces single-use plastic waste and becomes cost-efficient after just three to four cycles. The recent price hikes for disposable trays make our system even more compelling.”

Orders placed before December 31, 2025, benefit from long-term price advantages of up to 15%.
