Alternative substrates for peat use in European horticulture
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the Agency of Renewable Resources (FNR) invites you to the online workshop "Off the peat path - Suitability and availability of alternative substrates for peat use in European horticulture" on 22 November 2022.

The event will focus primarily on the discussion of peat reduction in horticulture - specifically the suitability and availability of alternative substrates in Europe. Researchers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, and Norway will present their current results in this field. In addition to the presentations, a panel discussion on "The future of peat-free growing media in Europe" will further stimulate scientific exchange.
