Secrets of the craft
"FLOOS - the crafter's secret" stands for an international online teaching platform where florists reveal unusual floral techniques and flowery recipes to their colleagues. At the FLOOS show on Wednesday, four floral designers presented imaginative work pieces, and on Thursday there will be another opportunity to watch four FLOOS members at work.

Floos is an online library of 600 floral recipes from about 30 renowned florists from around the world, with a focus on Europe. Floos was founded in 2015 by Carles Jubany Fontanilles, himself a master florist and reigning Spanish master florist. He also wanted to come to Essen, but had to cancel. As "teachers" of the online library on stage on Wednesday were: Alex Segura from Spain, Rudy Casati from Italy and Frédéric Duprè and Max Hurtaud from France.
On stage Thursday: Nicolaus Peters from Germany, Nicu Bocancea from Romania, Pirjo Koppi from Finland and once again Max Hurtaud from France. Johann Obendrauf from Austria will moderate and convey the ideas of the floral designers.
