Container Centralen (CC) has announced the expansion of its management team with the appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Nanne van der Burg assumed the role of COO on 1 March 2026, while Gertjan Hakkers is set to take over as CCO on 1 April 2026.

With these additions, CC’s executive team increases from three to four members. According to the company, the strengthened leadership structure is intended to improve scalability of services, enhance customer support, and drive further growth across Europe in the reusable transport items (RTI) sector.

Gertjan Hakkers succeeds Barto Cleton, who will step down at the end of March 2026 to pursue opportunities in external advisory roles.

Van der Burg brings extensive experience in logistics, supply chain management, and asset management. In his new role, he is expected to oversee operations and further improve the reliability and quality of CC’s European pool system.

Hakkers contributes broad international commercial experience, having led sales and business teams across EMEA, the UK, and the United States. As CCO, he will focus on strengthening commercial execution, deepening customer relationships, and supporting the company’s growth ambitions.

The expansion of the management team reflects CC’s intention to further professionalise its organisation and prepare for the next phase of growth in the horticultural RTI market. CEO Roel de Jong stated that the new appointments are expected to strengthen both operational and commercial performance and position the company for future success.
