This collaboration strengthens both companies’ commitment to innovation, quality, and customer success, expanding their breeding programs in Chrysanthemum and Limonium sinense to deliver more value and diversity to growers worldwide.

This highly competitive segment continues to evolve with advancements in productivity, resilience, and postharvest performance, alongside a growing demand for new colors, forms, and styles.

Progeny Breeding is a family-owned breeding company based in Bogotá, Colombia, specializing in chrysanthemums. Established in 2010 as part of a family business with over 50 years in flower production, Progeny has become known for its professionalism, pioneering approach, and commitment to excellence. The company focuses on breeding programs for cold resistance and high-performing varieties that meet the evolving needs of growers. Uniting Strengths for the Next Era of Breeding

Through this strategic alliance, the two companies will combine their complementary strengths to bring new opportunities to chrysanthemum growers in Colombia and worldwide. The partnership will allow Progeny to open new markets outside Colombia and benefit from Danziger’s extensive international network, while Danziger will expand its breeding activities in Bogotá — strengthening its local presence and leveraging Progeny’s expertise in the region. The cooperation will also include testing and selection programs in Antioquia, as both companies join forces across breeding and sales teams to better serve growers.

Following the signing of the agreement, Danziger will begin joint breeding activities at Progeny’s Bogotá site, in addition to its existing operations in Antioquia, Colombia. Several members of Progeny’s management team — including breeding, sales, and operations managers — will join Danziger to ensure smooth integration and continuous exchange of knowledge between the teams.

Effective from November 1st 2025, all sales and marketing activities for Progeny’s chrysanthemum varieties will be managed exclusively by Danziger.
